Being confronted with the decision for euthanasia for your pet, as well as, when and how it should be done, is a heart-wrenching experience. Many pet owners feel a tremendous sense of guilt, yet euthanasia is the most loving and humane option for pets suffering from terminal illnesses or debilitating old age ailments. We encourage you to seek the advice of your veterinarian to help you with your decision.

Euthanasia is an injection, which is quick and peaceful for your pet. By choosing to have the euthanasia performed in your home, you are gifting your pet with the privilege of passing away in familiar, loving surroundings, thereby minimizing their stress level.

Pet Friends is affiliated with many licensed and compassionate veterinary doctors who are available for in-home euthanasia procedures. This service is only offered with our cremation or burial service. The veterinarian will call you to arrange a prompt time to come to your home. A member of Pet Friends’ highly trained staff will be there with the veterinarian to offer bereavement support and aid to you and your family. After the euthanasia procedure, we will gently transport your pet to our crematorium or cemetery.

Payment for the veterinarian’s home euthanasia is negotiated directly between the two parties; Pet Friends does not charge for the referral service.
