The Passage View Motel is a 30 room oceanfront motel that offers stunning views of the Discovery Passage from every room in the motel. We are located on Vancouver Island, in the city of Campbell River, on the West Coast of British Columbia, Canada.

Our motel has the reputation of being the cleanest oceanfront accommodations in Campbell River. Agness, our Housekeeping Supervisor, and her staff take great pride in providing exemplary housekeeping services to all of our guests. Our quaint, sparkling clean rooms are always ready and inviting for each new guest.

From your private balcony or patio, view breathtaking sunrises and sunsets; Bald Eagles, Red Tail Hawks, Blue Herons and many other seabirds; cruise ships passing en route to Alaska; sail boats, fishing boats and other seafaring vessels traveling the Passage.

Orcas (Killer Whales), Humpback Whales, dolphins, porpoises, seals and sea lions travel through the waters of Discovery Passage. Guests can use our private beach to get an up close look at some of these magnificent creatures. Build a bonfire on the beach and spend the evening enjoying the sights and sounds of the ocean right in front of you.

Centrally located, we are a short walk away from the downtown core, Fisherman's Wharf, the Public Fishing Pier, museums, whale watching tours, unique shops, restaurants and more. A short walk in the other direction takes you to the Rotary Seawalk, a 6 kilometre (3.4 mile) paved walkway that winds along the pebbled, sandy shores of Discovery Passage. The walkway provides amazing marine views. There are picnic tables, viewing benches, grassy lawns and sandy beaches located along the walkway.

Campbell River is in an ideal location for sightseeing and day tripping. Waterfalls, meadows, mountains and forests are all in close proximity. The Passage View is a perfect "home base" location for those who want to venture out on exciting daily excursions then return to the tranquil ocean setting and beautifully landscaped gardens. Our guests are welcome to use our patio area, picnic table and barbeque to enjoy a meal outdoors with the Pacific Ocean as a magnificent backdrop.

Known globally as the Salmon Capital of the World, people from all over the globe visit Campbell River each year to fish for all five species of Pacific Salmon that pass through the waters between Campbell River and the BC Mainland each year. There are many other species of fish, both ocean and fresh water, that are also sought by avid anglers and beginners, alike. We can connect you with Fishing Guides, local fishing information, where to purchase your tackle and bait and where the best fishing locations are. We are a short walk away (about 3 minutes) from the Public Fishing Pier where you may want to soak up the sunshine and watch the boats come and go from Fisherman's Wharf while casting your own rod. A visit to the aquarium and enjoying one of the famous Pier ice cream cones is an excellent way to round off an afternoon.
