Parallel Park 2.36

The 'Parallel Park' is an on-street public space that makes new use of parallel parking spaces. It is a modular deck that has been fabricated off-site and will be installed on Thursday September 1, 2011.

This is part of the Viva Vancouver program, which seeks to demonstrate new, interesting and fun uses for public space in Vancouver.

The park was proposed and designed by landscape designer Travis Martin who is currently employed by van der Zalm + associates, landscape architecture (www.vdz.ca) and the master builder is Tyler Harris of Happy Valley Woodwork (http://www.happyvalleywoodwork.com/ ).
