Muskoka North Film Studios 2.34

Muskoka North Film Studios Inc. opened on May 6, 2013 in the south end of Parry Sound District, just a 2 hour drive from Toronto. The studio is owned and operated by three film veterans: Wendy L. Morrow (DGC production Designer) and international filmmakers Brian Jagersky (Actra Stunt Co-ordinator) and Ted Ross (IATSE Special Effects Co-ordinator). The three owners’ combined film making experience is the cornerstone of their operation. Their understanding of the production process is unparalleled in the region and makes any project at Muskoka North Film Studios a joy to plan and execute.

The studio complex is situated on a seven-acre lot, with parking for unit and crew, and a large open area to build a backlot. The surrounding forested area includes scenic valleys, interesting Canadian Shield rock formations and a pond.

The facility includes an 8,000 square foot sound stage, a front office complex, a metal shop, a construction & paint shop, props/set dec/wardrobe areas, and a craft kitchen.

The newly created Rental division has various location supplies, SPFX equipment, and even stunt mats. A rental prosthetics department is in the works, and will be supported by an on-call set technician.
