This is my passion - My social responsibility.

For years I have worked toward a greater understanding of the physical entwined with the mental - a greater understanding of health, self-care and of our responsibilities toward our expectation. Our stark reality of living life within a 10+ system machine unified -known as the human body, it's what I have been dedicating my life toward for years.

As I started McKay Personal Training & Athletics seven years ago, I met with real people seeking the truth, and I shook hands with a society grasping at straws regarding health and wellness - some lost and some willingly ignorant only seeking the quick fix. Having a sports science degree and a certificate in advanced nutrition - it wasn't enough. Since that time have always been continuing my education - Certificates from International Sports science association, Can-Fit Pro, and various others. Having worked with OHL/AHL hockey players, general fitness enthusiasts, placing bodybuilders, figure and physique competitors, powerlifters, and triathletes, cases of medical risk obesity, post rehabilitation stroke victims - I have had an opportunity to cast my education across many challenges.

I use this knowledge from multiple sources to gain a clear picture so that I may share it with you - If I can't explain it simply, I do not understand it well enough, and I will just be another confusing trainer or "Fitness Guru" claiming to have the answers and miss the mark. Weight loss and muscle gain, health and fitness are all just fundamental science that we have known for years - and the unique situation you are in will dictate what is best, there is no one size fits all, but there are some general rules that we must learn and be honest with ourselves.

For years I watched people struggle with celebrity diets, fad marketing, and B.S sales pitches wasting their time, money and efforts on a product and a placebo at best. Now I work as a health educator full-time during the day, and as a personal trainer at night - All day my goal is to assist people in taking on the responsibility of their health and in turn happiness and cast away insecurity, doubt, and failure driven by neglect.

I love it! To share the health is to share the wealth.

I opened Evince in 2017 to add to McKay Personal Training & Athletics to explain to larger populations this B.S society has sold you and offered my clients a class setting, a classroom where as a team, we ask our questions and concerns without judgment. We value both our current unique situations of the body and mind - just as much as we appreciate our goals, dedication to future aspirations guaranteeing our profound result. We make it easy to learn and understand, and most walk away with a deep admiration for their body and the growth and adaptation to do things they never thought they could.

We seek and expand our knowledge so we may take on our responsibility of health, without the self-doubt, confusion or insecurity. My classes are not just a "workout" for an hour and burn some calories, but education on the longevity and sustainable outcomes of exercise, nutrition and mental focus for a positive body image and consistency to achieve the result. You do the work; you own the results - I offer you the evidence based approach you may carry with you as knowledge to sustain your progress.

I cover:

-How Macro nutrients work in the body (fats, protein, and carbs)

-How fat loss and muscle gain happen and at what rate.

-Offer insight into the legitimate outcome of Dr.oz or your neighbors at home business claims. What supplements use an exaggerated or anecdotal study finding - science and research are not black and white.

-Biomechanical and functional movement assessment - Not everyone should be doing just any kind of exercise, due to limb length, angle changes, compensation patterns, overuse and muscular imbalances and neurological muscle firing patterns; we can not only get you working out - but get you pain-free, get you moving and capable.
