Our goal is to enhance the opportunities for our thirteen member unions and the professional tradespersons they represent. The depth of experience represented by our membership is truly impressive and ever increasing. Through our affiliated unions, we supply a skilled and productive workforce to our contractors and owners. Our mandate includes promoting and developing business for our 11,000 members, and providing a united voice on issues affecting the professional trades.

The unionized Building Trades includes over 11,000 professional tradespeople, including 2,700 apprentices in Nova Scotia – a significant portion of our working middle class.
