Little by Little
Orphan prevention through Job creation.

It is estimated that 80% of children living in Orphanages in Haiti have at least one living parent. With the unemployment rate being approximately 90% in Haiti along with 80% of Haiti’s people living in abject poverty, desperation causes many parents to relinquish their children into the care of a local Orphanage.

Little by Little’s mission is to prevent Orphans through Job creation. Little by Little hires women or men who are at risk of relinquishing their parental rights due to poverty and teaches them a marketable skill.

Little by Little has two projects starting in January 2014.
Beauty from Ashes is a unique line of jewelry created from up-cycled materials that will be gathered and crafted in Haiti. Little by Little is also creating a line of bags that will help two communities of women across the world. Since Haiti lacks the local resources to acquire textiles we are purchasing fair trade textiles from Nepal to be used in our bag project, therefore creating a cycle of women helping women.

Poverty runs deeper than our need for food and shelter. Poverty pierces the soul and distorts our view of who we are, what our purpose is and what we were created for. For this reason Little by Little seeks to share the love of Christ by pouring the truth of Gods love into fractured images, restoring worth, dignity and freedom through identity in Jesus, made in his image with inherent worth and dignity as a human with the high calling of reflecting His being.

Right now we are fundraising to make this all possible. We are selling a variety of fair trade ornaments made in Haiti. 100% of the proceeds from these initial fund-raising efforts will create start-up capital to provide crafting supplies, training, and wages for the mothers in Haiti.

Help us help them!
