Dr. Susie McAfee earned a Ph.D. from the University of New Brunswick in 2008. Since that time she has been employed full-time within the IWK Mental Health & Addictions Program in Youth Forensics, Inpatient, and Community Mental Health Services. Dr. McAfee believes strongly in prevention and early intervention, and the focus of her practice is children and families. However, she has training and experience with adults as well and is open to working with people of all ages.

LifeCentre Psychology is dedicated to meeting the mental health needs of families and helping all people live a vital and meaningful life. At LifeCentre we specialize in 3rd Wave Cognitive Behavioural Interventions (CBT) including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Relationship-based approaches are also used to facilitate the development (or repair) of nurturing social connections within your family and the larger community. LifeCentre provides a range of affordable group programs focused on psychological and emotional skill development. Some of these programs are designed as interventions for specific problem areas, whereas others build resilience to help prevent the development or worsening of relationship and mental health problems.
