La Ruche d'Art de NDG Art Hive 3.57

The NDG Art Hive was born from the volunteer-run Cheap Art Collective of St. Raymond’s (founders of the annual Hallowe'en Melrose Tunnel). We believe that community-building and art-making go hand-in-hand. The Collective is inspired by the international Art Hive model that links art studios across the globe to “create multiple opportunities for dialogue, skill sharing, and art making between people of differing socio-economic backgrounds, ages, cultures and abilities.”

In partnership with the City of Montreal, the Art Hives Network and the NDG Community Council, the Collective offered workshops and an open studio in the NDG Park chalet on Saturdays July-September, 2015 and June - September, 2016. Due to renovations to the chalet, and our desire to reach different neighbourhoods, we will be in the HLM St-Raymond in summer, 2017: 5605 Chemin Upper Lachine (accessible building). Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Our space is welcoming to a diversity of people and open to the public. We strive to offer a radically inclusive space.

We also offer "pop-ups" on a sliding scale in various locations, including the Benny Library, once a month. Please contact us for more info and to book.
