Sheltered by the Pacific Coast Mountain Ranges to the south of the Alaska panhandle on British Columbia’s wild North Coast, lies the K'tzim-a-deen (Khutzeymateen) Inlet. Here, within the traditional territory of the Tsimshian Nations, lives a healthy and indomitable population of coastal Grizzly Bears.

Located within this unique Conservancy and Grizzly Bear Sanctuary, the Khutzeymateen Wilderness Lodge is your home and gateway to view these magnificent animals in a natural and unspoiled wilderness area.

Plan your day around bear viewing, visiting waterfalls, kayaking or paddle boarding in this unspoiled coastal inlet. Spend the evening relaxing at the lodge after a sauna, strum a guitar, or snuggle up with a good book around the campfire. Fall asleep to the cry of an eagle or the splash of a seal while indulging in the comfort of a comfortable bed under a warm duvet.

Khutzeymateen Wilderness Lodge is the only permitted lodge within the Khutzeymateen Protected Area. Our floating lodge offers an opportunity to enjoy all the comforts of home with plenty of room to stretch out and take in the awe-inspiring neighbourhood.
