Julie Moyer is a highly sought after piano teacher for students ranging in age from 5-85 years old. Julie loves music and loves to teach. She is an energetic, former primary school teacher, who brings her passion for music and learning as well as her past experience as a classroom teacher into her piano classes. Julie is warm and caring with her students but also expects that students do their best. As a piano student you can expect to quickly play a variety of music on the piano in a fun and engaging manner.

Julie teaches 2 piano programs. Play-A-Story piano is an exceptional age-appropriate piano program for children ages 5-7. The Play-A-Story piano program combines music, story, imaginative play and improvisation in a fun way. In each session, students are introduced to short musical sentences at the piano, which they can use to improvise along with the story. These musical sentences act as a musical “dress-up box” which can be opened and played with at any time. With Play-A-Story piano, students learn up to 40 musical concepts as they enter the imaginative world of the three storybooks. The piano skills learned in the Play-A-Story program are a fun and age appropriate way to begin their musical journey!

Simply Music piano is an exceptional program for children 7 years of age and up. Children and youth enjoy this program because of the variety of songs, the ease of learning and it's so much fun! Beginner students can expect of walk away from their first few lessons playing songs hands together. Students experience a great deal of pleasure and satisfaction from immediately playing a huge repertoire of great-sounding music including classical, blues, jazz, contemporary, accompaniments and arrangements - all in their first year!
