My name is John Sailors and I am a Moose Cree First Nations Artist. Additionally, I am an audio documentarian.

I am promoting my work through this Facebook page as well as participating in upcoming local events.

Born in Moose Factory, Ontario, I grew up connecting with my Moose Cree culture and heritage. I was raised in both Huntsville, Ontario (I moved there when I was 5) and Moose Factory (I would spend a large majority of my time there).

The experiences of being raised on a reservation as well as in a small Muskoka community helped shape me to be connected with nature, music and my heritage.
As a First Nations person, I lost some of my culture when I moved to Huntsville and it is through the work that I do and the people that I meet along my journey in art and documentaries that is assisting me in reconnecting with my roots. My work speaks to my experiences living on the reservation and also in a small Muskoka community where there were not many aboriginal people. The goal of my work is to share my journey with interested parties through the development of my artwork, documentaries and more.

I will have various paintings, prints, art cards and more for sale in the near future.
