Locally owned family business by Lloyd and Audrey Bergen since June 2011, the Ideal Cafe has been a staple restaurant in Campbell River for years. Ideal Cafe was built as a truck stop in 194? and has always been a casual working mans diner with fast friendly service and great home cooked meals with large portions. Since buying the cafe in 2011 we have made it our goal to keep the same diner atmosphere and home cooking, but we're bringing out a whole new side of this greasy spoon. Daughters Stephanie and Leah help run the cafe and have helped turn the cafe in a new direction. With healthier options, gluten free menu and supporting local farms but still keeping the large portions and friendly service we have won over the hearts and stomachs of many locals. We have a wild milkshake menu and a wide range of adult beverages to choose from including liquor milkshakes and our signature Ideal Caesar. One 7 days a week and closed on all stat holidays!
