WHAT do all of these items have in common? They have all been offered for sale at Holland Curiousity and Collectibles Shoppe at some point. It is this kind of eclectic mix of items that we believe makes us so unique in Southwest Ontario.
WHETHER you are looking to replace your kitchen blender, pick up some vintage jewelry to accessorize that new dress you bought, or seeking that cool antique or retro lamp that your Grandma used to have in the family room, we are the best place to start your search.
WE are not your average antique store... We are not snooty... We are not overpriced... We do not stand over your shoulder while you brouse, and we do not cater to only a select few individuals while ignoring everybody else...
WE do consider all customers in our store as guests... We do like that our customers get nostalgiac as they peruse our aisles of collectibles... We LOVE what we do, and we love sharing the joy of the find with others...
THIS Facebook page has four important components... 1.) We want to be able to share with you some of the more interesting finds we come across as we restock our shelves on a daily basis. When we find something supercool, we will post pics, and any relevant info. Feel free to comment on any items... Do you think it's as cool as we do, or know somebody who collects that specific item? Does a particular piece bring back childhood memories? Let us know.... We love feedback!... Like what you see? Call us and we will hold the item for 24 hrs until you can make it into the store... 2.) Lots of folks tell us about items they have purchased from us over the years and have refinished/restored, or are just completely in love with. If you have purchased something from our store and are compeletely geeked about how it looks in your home, or have put time into refinshing/restoring it, we would love to see it! Please post your photos and a small caption, so that we can all drool with you!... 3.) Our business would not be what it is without our vendors, who work hard to acquire items of interest for your perusal and consideration. to help direct them, feel free to post any WANTED items on our wall. Please be simple and concise, but with enough detail that our vendors have a reasonable chance of filling your needs. As an example, "I'm looking for a chandelier", is not concise enough. "Wanted- a brass Art Deco style five or six arm chandelier with crystal teardop prisms" has a much better chance of being found to your liking... 4.) We are often asked by customers to appraise their items, or offer suggestions on how to repair/clean their treasures. We will attempt from time to time to offer small articles, or at the very least, links, to subjects which we feel could be of interest to our customers. If we are posting links, we will give you a quick description, so that you are not wasting your time opening sites you have no interest in...
