Welcome to the Health Promotion Division page. The Health Promotion division is situated within the School of Health and Human Performance alongside two other divisions (Kinesiology and Leisure and Recreation) and within the Faculty of Health Professions at Dalhousie University. The primary goal of Health Promotion graduates is to promote the health and well-being of individuals and their communities. Our graduates are leaders who are committed to developing programs and conducting research to promote health, prevent disease, and inform policy that enhances health and well-being. Students choose our programs because of:

Graduates of our programs are able to work as health promotion specialists, researchers and consultants in various settings, including health-related organizations and agencies, medical care centre, government agencies, private industry, community health settings, health and fitness centers, consulting organizations, schools and many others.
