Conveniently located at the intersection of Harbord and Spadina on the St. George campus, Grad Room is uniquely furnished with a Second Cup kiosk, Wi-Fi, a comfortable workspace, and patio seating. At Grad Room, you’ll find an ideal environment for networking with other graduate students, unwinding during a stressful week, or obtaining helpful information about student programming opportunities from any one of the Grad Room’s friendly staff of student program assistants.

Do you have an idea for a social, academic, or professional event? Or perhaps you’ve thought about designing your own workshop, seminar, conference, or lecture series… If so, then Grad Room is YOUR space for student programming! The Multi-Purpose Programming Space on the lower level of Grad Room is fully-equipped for multi-media presentations and is designed to accommodate a variety of student programming events. In addition, the space can be arranged specifically to suit the style of virtually any kind of event: boardroom, classroom, or group-based workshops. And the best part about this multi-purpose space is that it is absolutely FREE for graduate students and faculty to book.

Finally, Grad Room is home to the School of Graduate Studies’ Graduate Professional Skills (GPS) program, a professional development initiative that prepares graduate students for their academic and non-academic careers through a diverse range of offerings that cultivate highly marketable skills.
