Glenmorangie Kennel 2.01

Our family have been involved in breeding Cairn Terriers since the 1960s. Haggis of Ottawa was first, Megan of Toronto, Morgan of Flin Flon and now Glenmorangie Kennel with McTavish and Moira of Barrie. Moira had her first litter in 2012 and her second in May 2015. We are expecting her third litter in the first week of June 2016.

Cairns are smart, happy, loyal and full of fun. They are small dogs with a big dog personality. Each has its own character, coat and colour. Colours may include variations of brindle, red, blonde, brown and silver. They are hypoallergenic, do not shed and are easy care. Their coats change colour throughout their lifetime of 12 to 16 years. The Cairn is the original terrier of the Isle of Skye and produced enduring and popular breeds including the Yorkshire, Scottish, West Highland, Skye and Border Terriers. Cairns were originally used in Scotland to hunt on rugged rocky terrain and because of this they are a great dog for agility training.

Moira is a very feminine wheaten coloured coquette of champion stock. She is petite with perky ears and tail, silky coat and a sweet and expressive face.

Glenmorangie's McTavish, is first generation Canadian of Scottish parents. Handsome, proud, friendly and loving, he is brindle coloured (multi greys and black) with sturdy conformation and an attentive manner.

Our Glenmorangie Kennel Cairns and their offspring are healthy, quick learners, fit, playful, friendly and love people including children. They are raised in our home, have been given TLC and are full members of our family.
