GIN - Gulf Islands Nanaimo Yacht Race 2.03

Blast Performance Sailing, in cooperation with the Royal Victoria Yacht Club, the Nanaimo Yacht Club Canadian Forces Sailing Association and Victoria Spirits, is pleased to present the Gulf Islands Nanaimo yacht race (GIN) which will be one of the distance races of the Vancouver Island Racing Series.

GIN will be held in conjunction with final leg of the Van Isle 360 International Yacht Race during odd years (2017) and as a standalone race during even years (2016). GIN will be a feeder race for the Snake Island Nanaimo regatta (SIN) hosted by the Nanaimo Yacht Club.

During Van Isle 360 years, the race will begin off of Clover Point in Victoria, and in off years will start in the vicinity of Cadboro Bay in front of the Royal Victoria Yacht Club. The finish will be in Nanaimo Harbour using the Van Isle 360 finish line, between the W.E. Mills pier and the Satellite Reef cardinal buoy.
