Details

Furtado Furniture derived from Concord Furniture that was founded by Jack Gortler (God Bless His Soul) in Toronto in 1957. There were 7 stores owned and operated by Jack Gortler across Canada. However, he sold his last stores to his partners, Joe Furtado and his partner, in 1992. With this in mind, he ran his business flawless until 2002 when the business started to change course. Accordingly, the online business started to grow and one could see that more people began to shop online. Thus, in 2009, Joe Furtado’s son Jonathan Furtado undertook the business. Wherefore, he created a home furniture store online named “Johnny Concord.” Nevertheless, the business continued to grow and the shop name became known in the market, Jonathan decided to change the business title to Furtado Furniture in 2013.
