Who we are:
A Mid-High end designer consignment shop, selling items for a fraction of their original selling price.

The Process:
Consignors at Exchange on Germain are invited to bring 1-20 pieces of new or gently used items of mid to high end fashion brands. Accepted items are priced at the discretion of Exchange on Germain and is based on brand, the age of the garment, style and condition. Items are available for sale for 3 months, and will be reduced throughout that period to ensure the best opportunity for sale. When the item is sold, consignors will receive 40% of the sale which may be presented in cash/cheque or applied as a store credit.

What is accepted?
Exchange on Germain has explicit interest in mid to high end fashion brands that range from J. Crew/Banana Republic to Prada/Gucci etc. Items will only be accepted if freshly laundered, seasonal appropriate and free of any imperfections such as: tears, frayed material, stains, missing components etc.- regardless of brand. To submit items for consignment you may do so between 10 am-5 pm Tuesday to Friday. We do not and will not accept items on Saturday.

When Accepted:
Once your items have been priced, you will receive an email informing you of the current sale price and the date of expiration, as well as any items that were not accepted during the pricing process. All items priced will remain on the sales floor for 3 months. If an item is not sold within that period, it will be pulled from the sales floor. At that point you will be notified via e-mail to pick the remainder of your pieces up within 10 business days. All items left after 10 days will be donated to a charity of our choice.
Exchange on Germain does retain the right to adjust sale periods based on seasonal changes and emerging trends. In the event of early expiration of your items, you as the consignor will always be contacted by the email provided.

With more obscure or unique pieces means that certain items may take longer to find a legitimate source. The processing period can and will reflect this.***

Consignor Payments
Payments are available for merchandise one month after date of sale, clients will be paid by cheque, or cash. Clients are also able to apply their available funds as a store credit. Please note that funds available on client accounts will not expire or depreciate in value.
