Elaine is a Professor of Nursing at the University. Among her many fields of interest, she teaches nursing leadership, nursing health, and lifelong learning opportunities for nurses. She is passionate about helping future nurses learn through experience and using the senses rather than just being taught from a book. This way, true leaders can grow. In addition to teaching, Elaine is involved in coordinating nursing bachelor program curriculums for students.
With a critical care nursing background, Elaine maintains membership in the Canadian Association of Critical Care Nurses and the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. She also holds a separate degree in Leadership, adding to her background and credentials as a nurse educator and leader.
