Hello, I started with engines when I was 14, working as a teardown boy at an engine machine shop. While working there I built my first engine with my dad. We put it into my old 66 F-100 and once it fired up my fate was sealed. I was destined to be a Technician. The fact is I loved the power I created so much, it got me into a little bit of trouble with those speed limit signs... So, instead of walking around without a license, as recommended by the Judge at the time; Right after high school I joined the navy to be a jet engine mechanic. The Navy decided they needed a welder more, so they shipped me off to welding school. Welding was easy and took me to Hawaii for 4 years. After Hawaii, I moved to Denver, Colorado to attend automotive school. Denver Institute of Technology was one of the highest recommended automotive schools at the time. I graduated top of my class with Honors. 9.7GPA.
I moved to Loveland, Colorado and moved around a bit to see what was out there. I worked at four different dealerships: Ford, Chrysler, Nissan and Toyota. Along with the major brands of the dealerships, they also provided other brands to work on, Volvo, Saab, Kia, Mazda, Suzuki. I didn't want my college money to go to waste, so after a few years at the dealerships, I went back to school to pursue a bachelors degree at Colorado State University in Electrical Engineering. After 4 years at school, I finished up and Started my own automotive shop, The Automotive Edge. I had a great customer following that made long work hours fairly easy to accommodate. I needed employees to grow my business. I merged with US Automotive Machine. I brought my customer base and took on management of the shop area and the employees working there. After a year working there I was poised to purchase the shop from the owner, but ran into family health problems. In 2005 we decided to move back to Montana to have the kids be closer to their grand parents. I then joined the Montana Air National Guard and finally after 20 years went to jet engine school. After school, I served in Iraq and worked full time as a jet engine mechanic until 2011. I moved to Lethbridge, Alberta to work as a Heavy Equipment technician at the Case dealer. I now start a new chapter in my life with Edge Mechaincal and wish to bring my abilities to you.
