Mark Stewart is not only one of Canada’s top fishing guides, but he’s also an extraordinary person. Mark has been fishing since the age of 3. His grandmother told him one day that he couldn’t fish, because he didn’t have a fishing pole. He went to the basement and returned with a bent nail on a piece of string. That’s when she realized that fishing was part of Mark’s soul. Mark has literally made fish part of his life. He has worked with the top sushi Masters in North America, and also works at the Quinsam fish hatchery in Elk Bay, where he helps to manage the Campbell River fish population.
