The Hospitality Management CO-OP two-year diploma program introduces all aspects of the tourism and hospitality industry essential for those looking to move into supervisory and management positions.

The instructors, who have been employed as senior management within large hotels, have many years delivering hospitality programs and offer their own hands-on experience and knowledge to our students.

Our Curriculum is designed by hospitality specialists with extensive experience in the industry and has been certificate by American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA).

Program Description

The Hospitality Management diploma is a combination of the first year’s 48 weeks of classroom study and the second year’s 48 weeks of co-op work experience. As a student, you will learn the concepts and techniques related to hotel and restaurant operations, international marketing, food preparation and service, financial analysis, accounting, front and back office operations and intercultural team dynamics.

ESL Intensive English Program

Course Introduction

Our ESL program is committed to helping students improve their communication skills and knowledge in the English language through a dynamic, fun classroom environment that explores a broad range of relevant, local and timely topics.

Cornerstone provides ESL courses that are approachable, professional and tailored to the specific needs of the students. We offer six class levels which allow each student to start learning from their current level of English proficiency.

Admission Test

At the time of registration, students will be given an English Placement Test. Based on the test results, each student will be assigned to the appropriate curriculum level.

The Classes

1. The morning session focuses on language fundamentals that strengthen skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, while incorporating with the teaching of grammar, pronunciation, phrases, and colloquial English.

2. Afternoon sessions specialize in applied language activities and spoken communication skills, where students practice English dialogue. Special features include in-class discussions on various local topics, oral presentations, and special outings/field trips, which will enhance student’s conversational skills. Class topics focus on local Canadian culture, customs and common phrases so students actually learn to use the language in a way that is useful for them.
