Capital Networks Opens Atlantic Office

Capital Networks Limited, a respected leader in the broadcasting, cable television and digital signage industries, has announced the opening of the new office for its CN Media Services – Atlantic Division, January 4th in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The expansion is the result of a completed deal to take over turnkey operations of 40 TV Programming Guide channels and 6 Real Estate channels from Eastlink effective October 1, 2015.

Established in 1991, Capital Networks has supplied and supported advanced multimedia systems into the cable television, broadcasting and digital signage industries and has sold Audience™ content management software into a variety of market segments including Medical, Education, Corporate, Municipal and Retail applications in more than 40 countries.

Since 2012, CN Media Services, a division of Capital Networks, has been engaged in the marketing and scheduling of local avails, with exclusive sales representation rights to the US ad avails on Eastlink, Telus, Cogeco and Source Cable systems, representing over 1.8 million homes in Canada.

CN Media Services will operate MyGuide Programming Guide channels in the following communities:

Nova Scotia: Amherst, Annapolis, Antigonish, Aylesford, Bridgewater, Dartmouth (Bedford/Sackville), Elmsdale, Halifax, Liverpool, New Glasgow, New Minas, St. Margaret’s Bay, Shelburne, Sydney, Truro, Windsor, Yarmouth.

Prince Edward Island: Charlottetown, Charlottetown Rural, Summerside.

Newfoundland: Clarenville, Harbour Grace, Lewisporte, Marysvale, Salt Pond, Springdale, Stephenville.

Ontario: Sudbury, Timmins, Blind River, Cochrane, Gore Bay, Hanover, Hearst, Iroquois Falls, Kapuskasing, Little Current, Temiskaming.

British Columbia: Oliver/Osoyoos

While the Halifax office will have an initial focus on the day to day operations of the 46 TV Listings and Real Estate channels, Capital Networks will also be bringing their digital signage solutions and services which include consultation, production and technical support to the rapidly expanding maritime market.

The new Atlantic team will be led by Barry Scott, Director Business Development, Atlantic Region.
Barry is a respected leader in media industries with management and sales experience in Telephone, Cable, and Newspaper.
