What's in a name? For Bodega Boutique, everything. Our story began in 2012 with the simple wish of owner and Dartmouthian Kate Hamilton to see Downtown Dartmouth recognize its potential and flourish as a shopping destination in Atlantic Canada. Inspired by the surge of new businesses in the area and with her own vision growing clearer, Bodega Boutique began to move from concept to reality.

With the goal of creating an exclusive, unique shopping experience for both sexes, Kate remained committed to her vision despite a lengthy search for an appropriate venue. The right space would function not as a house for her wares but a home for her budding business,
and was well worth waiting for.

One fateful evening while visiting Dart Gallery, Kate overheard rumblings of a new property on the market. Within 12 hours she had the keys to Bodega Boutique's cozy new abode.

The Bodega Boutique falcon is a nod to the love Kate's grandmother shared with her of birds, and her time spent in France where she resode beside a chateau that housed historical falcon fashions of the past.

Bodega Boutique endeavours to become an exclusive shopping experience to meet your every need. And with plans to grow, we never want to forget our humble beginnings.
