Jason Dalton is an Electrician and the Owner/Operator of Big Red Electric Inc. He attended Memorial University for seven years and then worked for a local phone company for another eight years. He was then given the opportunity to enter the Electrical Apprenticeship program via direct entry. After his first nine months of working at the New MUN Residence project, he attended College of the North Atlantic in Seal Cove and completed the 16 week self-paced direct entry program in 13 weeks. He then went back to work as a second year apprentice and it was then he started Big Red Electric as a side job, doing residential work with a work friend. After he went back to school for Block 2, he began working for Big Red full time. He hired a journey person and another apprentice and he incorporated the company. The company’s clientele began to grow and soon included both residential and commercial clients. Jason is now a fourth year apprentice, hoping to return to school soon to complete his training. Big Red Electric Inc. is still growing, and has earned the reputation as a reliable, fair priced, hard working company, with a focus on customer satisfaction. No job is too big or too small for Big Red.
