Old Newfoundland "Saltbox" house experience. Stay for a night or a week in this nostalgic old fashioned house you will surely be captivated by the scenic view and down to earth hospitality! You are surrounded by all amenities needed to enjoy your stay at "Best Kind". While still trying to keep the old Newfoundland feel we offer 3 tastefully decorated bedrooms 1 queen bed and 2 double beds and a futon in common area. There are 2 newly renovated full bathrooms and kitchen is fully stocked to cook up a fine scoff and BBQ provided.

There is lots to see while visiting the beautiful King's Point/Rattling Brook area. With any luck right from the deck of our B & B you will get to see whales, bald eagles, seals, beautiful sunrises, the impressive beauty of the mountains and depending on what time of year it is......majestic icebergs!! Which we have been fortunate enough to have in our bay over the past couple of years!

If you are an outdoorsy person/family then you must take advantage of the many hiking trails. We are just minutes from all the wonderful attractions. The Alexander Hiking Murray Trail is a bit changeling at times but well worth it when you reach the top! Make sure to visit the little shop at the base of the trail to find some local goodies.

Rattling Brook Falls is a picturesque walk through a short trail with stairs leading to the top with a breathtaking view of the falls! Also, there is a nice picnic area to have a rest. There is also a newly developed trail called the Caribou at the very end of Rattling Brook that you must take in.

If you want to do a little exploring inside there are lots to do as well. There is the Humpback Whale Pavilion and Heritage House/Museum and local "Award Winning" Pottery Shop. Which are all must sees when visiting our little town.

We also have 2 convenience stores and a liquor express store to accommodate all your needs. Also, if you feel like eating out then we have 2 fine restaurants that provide you with two different atmospheres. King's Point Motel Diner/Pub provides you with delicious home cooked meals in a beautiful large dining room setting or you can enjoy your meal in the cozy pub. Don't miss out on their famous squid rings and awesome homemade burgers! Also, we have By the Sea Inn & Cafe. Which is situated right along the shoreline with beautiful views of the bay and known for their mouth watering "house specials", seafood, homemade pea soup and jiggs dinner!
