It all started in 1958. Jack McDonnell noticed something was changing. Restaurants were popping up, restaurants promising food quickly, and people were calling it ‘fast food’.

As the industry grew in popularity, Jack’s entrepreneurial gears started turning. He’d tried this ‘fast food’ and thought he knew how to do it better. He started with the idea that great ingredients make for a great product and that’s when Burger Baron was born.

Since then, we’ve grown into one of the most popular burger joints in the province. We’re still family owned and operated, and proud of it. But, what we know really sets us apart is our ingredients, and where they’re from – Saskatchewan! Everything from our burgers to our buns is made fresh, in Saskatchewan. Never frozen. Never pre-cooked.
