We purchased Avid as a weanling and never looked back! He is a perfect fit to our herd and think that he will fit into almost every breeding program. That is the reason he is going to be stood and available to the public.

Our hopes are to create a versatile stallion, being able to be out in the public eye performing in many disciplines. We are working to create foal crops that will stand out in whatever discipline their breeders choose.

Avid is still a stallion due to his exceptional mind. It is our belief that a stallion should have a trustworthy personality, a willing attitude, and the heart to perform whatever they are asked to do to the best of their abilities. He has all of those qualities.

Some history that we can tell you about Avid is his training as of thus far. Avid went to Johnny Picray as two year old. He spent 5 months in training primarily focused on reining. With this knowledge we feel Avid is well rounded to work in a variety of areas.

I have started Avid working cattle. First at a local sorting series as a three year old, riding him and another mare I had purchased that spring we placed third in the series (missing 4 of the compitions and the top placing missing none). He has moved cattle a few times for Clint's father working out in the open field and through bush and swamp.

Avid has now started barrel training, which I am working on very slowly. I want to have a well balanced horse that enjoys his job. Its my hope that the job he truly excels at is barrel racing since its my favorite discipline. I will be taking him to a gymkhana series over the winter to get him out and experience the pressures that come with being a competitor.

Mare care is dependent upon breeding arrangements and can be confirmed at the signing of breeding contract.
