As a new Mama and while pregnant I did a lot of reading (like most first time moms) about pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and newborns. I loved educating myself on these subjects. I especially loved diving into any evidenced based research I could find.

I spent a lot of time reading about babywearing. The benefits were so amazing and I knew it was something I wanted to do. When Anna was born I tried a lot of baby carriers available. However it was the sling that won over my heart. I loved that it was quick, easy, so cute and I could be close to my baby, but i couldn't justify the steep price of the slings here in the city. Thats when i decided to create Anna.Banana! I have set out to make safe, practical slings while maintaining a beautiful sling to wear at an affordable price. All are handmade and heartfelt in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
