All the teachers of Amadeus Music Academy hold Masters Degrees in music from Russian universities and are very familiar with the Russian piano school methodology.

This technique is considered the most unique method for piano performance. The school is based on a deep understanding of physical abilities of the hand, styles and history of music and a particular emphasis on the ability to ‘sing’ on the instrument. Our professors spent up to 20 years researching and establishing this distinctive approach to learning the Russian piano technique.

The founding father of the Russian piano school, Heinrich Neuhaus, is renowned for the poetic magnetism of his playing and for his artistic refinement. His many students, including Yakov Zak, Sviatoslav Richter and Emil Gilels, are now the most iconic names in piano history.

We continue in the traditions of Moscow State University piano school teaching and footsteps of Heinrich Neuhaus at Amadeus Music Academy.
