Godward Focus

We declare our allegiance to the Triune God; recognize his sovereignty over all things and commit to the proclamation of His incomparable worth throughout the world

Soul Impact:

By God’s grace we will provide a dynamic, engaging multi-generational worship experience that is earnest, passionate, honouring to God and challenging to people who do not yet know Him.

Mind Impact:

By God’s grace we will preach and teach the Word of God with excellence to provide our people with a Biblical world and life view. We will respond to God’s word with the appropriate act of faith.

Outward Focus

We commit ourselves unreservedly to the Great Commission. God’s heart is for men and women to be reconciled and saved from their sin. The gospel is good news and people everywhere need to hear it

Community Impact:

By God’s grace we will spiritually impact Southeast Ottawa / Ottawa. We will do this by building bridges of trust and care into the community, fervent prayer and bold proclamation of the gospel in relevant ways.

Global Impact:

By God’s grace we will stimulate a hands-on, active involvement in missions so that there is a congregational awareness and care for missions.

Inward Focus

We commit ourselves to the equipping of the saints for life and ministry. We will work to strengthen the family, which we value as the core component of society and the church.

Personal Impact:

By God’s grace we will intentionally equip every teachable Christian at AVBC to practice spiritual disciplines, know and use their spiritual gifts and walk in step with the Spirit of God. We will do this for the purpose of leading every Christian to maturity and his or her full potential in life and ministry. We will be an equipping centre.

Family Impact:

By God’s grace we will cultivate effective, loving families that are Christ centered, joyous and winsome. We will attempt to build into parents and spouses the necessary communication, leadership and living skills that will foster harmonious relationships within families.
