We are the keepers of our common grounds in Allan Gardens - 16,000sq.ft. of greenhouses in one of Toronto's oldest parks, at the heart of Downtown Toronto. The Conservatory and its grounds are open 365 days a year and are free to visit.

This lush, indoor garden has a waterfall, fish ponds, banana trees and orchids in six greenhouses, the centrepiece of which is a historic, glass dome known as “The Palm House”, built in 1910. The Park and Conservatory is owned and managed by the City of Toronto in partnership with the Friends of Allan Gardens.

The Conservatory features a permanent collection of beautiful plants from around the world, supplemented with colourful flower shows. The most spectacular is the Christmas Show when the greenhouses are filled with poinsettias and decorated. The Spring Show includes bulbs and cool crops like Cineraria, Bellis and Primulas. The Easter Show features Hydrangeas and Easter Lilies. Over 100 varieties of Chrysanthemums are displayed during the fall Mum show.
