A Wake Of Vultures (WOV) consists of four emerging interdisciplinary artists based in Vancouver, Canada: Nancy Tam, Daniel O'Shea, Sean Marshall Jr. and Conor Wylie. We created WOV in 2013 as a project based collective after fruitful collaborations as student artists SFU. Since then, we have been produced by various organizations in North America. We use sound, and performance as our primary mediums, and in our recent collaborative work investigate notions of nostalgia, space and place, and the insertion of theatre into the everyday. In doing so, we have sound and projection installation like "Lost Words Uttered Too Late" (2012), performance and sound installation "...wreckage upon wreckage…" (2013), audio walk "Some Hallways Lead To Other Hallways And Some Lead To Dead Ends" (2013), and a play "PKD Workshow" (2014).

The working model for WOV is that of opportunistic omnivores. Each member of the group maintains strong connection to other artistic collectives, companies or their solo work. In doing so they continue to develop their practice outside of the homogenizing influence of a group. When a tasty opportunity presents itself the group coalesces and tackles it together. This mode of operation means that every collaboration is embarked upon with a novelty of experience. Each collaborator having grown or changed during the intervening time bring fresh ideas, perspectives and methods to the group. Because of this model WOV carries no repertoire. Even works that have had multiple stagings are embarked upon as new endeavours, shaped and formed as to the current alignment of WOV. Through this arrangement WOV remains responsive and engaged with the nature of group’s collaboration and with the works themselves.
