The main role of the Centre, is the rescue and rehabilitation of abused, neglected and abandoned animals in Bahrain. There are currently more than 180 dogs, close to 200 cats, 1 donkey, 1 goat, budgies, pigeons, parakeets, ducks, rabbits, a terrapin and a crow , all in need of loving care. The number of incoming animals is ever increasing, especially during these unsettled times and very hot summer months.

Our services include:
• Animal rescue
• Animal rehabilitation
• Education
• Re homing
• Fund raising
• Animal Grooming

We have recently re-homed in the local community more than 50 dogs and 60 cats with the remainder staying at the Centre until their rehabilitation is complete and they are ready to be part of a family.

We have a charity shop, Second Chance, on Budaiya Highway at which
donations of furniture, clothes, books, toys, household items etc are sold to
help pay for rent, food, medical expenses, salaries for staff at the Centre. Directions to the charity shop are:

Go along Budaiya Highway towards Burgerland - heading away from Saar. When you get to the roundabout that has pet Arabia on the right and Al Jazeera just infront - Turn right and then right in to the first compound. Our shop is the first villa on the left.

We also hold fund raising events, regular book sales at the Rugby Club in Saar
and participate at fairs, school fetes, charity sales etc to help with the running
costs of the rescue centre.
We continue our efforts to educate children and adults in the proper care of
animals. Our Open Day is on Fridays, which includes information and activities
on animal welfare. 10am - 12pm

We offer an adoption service or a sponsorship program to meet the needs of
each animal looking for a new home and welcome volunteers to walk,
pet and play with our animals.
We have built many links with local schools that often set up fund raising
projects to collect food or help out at the centre as part of Community Service
Programs.

If you would like to volunteer, to walk dogs, or socialise with the animals then please come along on Fridays between 10:00am and 12:00pm. Call 39629889.
