Details

Envisioned as an alternative and experimental "hub" for learning, collaboration, interaction or improvisation, the SEELAB will attempt to establish new or rethink old relationships between the Southeast and East European regions, as well as between techniques, methods and patterns of intellectual and artistic communication. The SEELAB will aim to expose the students, the academic and the wider community in Ghent to more gripping encounters with creative individuals from (or working on) this part of the world. The concept of laboratory will allow us to take diverse avenues of (re)presentation, where we will utilize different forms of knowledge-sharing.

The regular rubric featuring in the SEELAB program will be Encounters With!, where the SEELAB team will open up a possibility for flexible and dynamic communication through dialogical and interactive conversations.

To accommodate the people we would like to feature in the SEELAB program, the SEELAB team will adopt flexible scheduling. Most of the events will take place on Wednesdays at 19:00, in Afkikker (Sint-Kwintensberg 52, 9000, Gent), unless otherwise announced.

Anyone interested in collaborating with the SEELAB team or suggesting an event, please send an email to the SEELAB curator Rozita Dimova: rozita.dimova@ugent.be.
