Bandarban Hill district is distinguished with it's urforgettable natural beauty of Rivers, hills, fountain, birds, wildlife, diversity of life and culture of tribes, Trish Deba is a backward hilly village of Fasiakhali union of Lama Upazilla of the District.

Only three to four Marma Tribal Families have come in the non cultivated jungle of the area for living in 1800 and established the village, In times the village was populated with commence of several Marma and Mro families. The name Trish Deba was originated from Marma Language "Aung Sung Se" as the area comprising of many low laying marshland. People of the village played an important role in favor of the liberation war of Bangladesh 1971, but the village remains abundant from development. People used hillay trail for communication with Dulahajara and yangcha for marketing. A primary school was established in the backward village but it was irregular for absence of teacher. Later on a Buddhist Saint Unendamala has established a palitol for education of the tribal children. In the time some orphans used to took shelter in the palitol. In 5th February of 1999 the saint Unendamala has established an orphanage with the help of some sympathetic villagers. The orphanage was started with only thirteen orphans, now it's belong 55. In the time Mr. Bir Bahadur, M. P. was the chairman of Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board. He and the Chairman of Bandarban Hill District Council were very helpful to the orphanage. Honorable Member of Parliament Mr. Bir Bahadur Helped the orphanage with a sewing machine and 20 blankets and suggested to apply in the Department of District Social Welfare for the Registration and he constructed a rood for the villagers. The orphanage got registration in 2002 and was inaugurated as a registered orphanage on 27 December, 2002 by District Council Chairman Mrs. Ma Maya Ching. District Council has constricted three room's semi pacca building for the orphanage. Present District Council Chairman and other willful persons are also helpful to the orphanage. Social Welfare Department of the district has sanctioned Capitation grant Taka 9600.00 for the year 2002-2003. The main source of income of the orphanage is banana plantation in it's premises, but it is not sufficient for its demand of 55 orphans. Only more help can provide the orphanage flourished.
