The Government of Bangladesh (GoB) is committed to strengthening the social protection system through efficiency and effectiveness in the use of resources (Value for Money (VfM) in the Sector. This commitment is clearly reflected in the approved National Social Security Strategy (NSSS). The Finance Division (FD) of the Ministry of Finance (MoF) has undertaken the Strengthening Public Financial Management for Social Protection (SPFMSP) Project, with the assistance of UK DFID and Australian DFAT, to follow through on the VfM commitment.
