SOS Hermann Gmeiner College Bogra 4.52

SOS Hermann Gmeiner College was established on 9th March 1996. The college was named after Dr. Hermann Gmeiner, the founder father of SOS Children's Village International. The main idea behind the establishment of the college is to impart education to the destitute and orphan children residing in SOS Children's Village Bogra and side by side to give scope for day scholars of locality.

The main criteria for entry are merit, discipline and integrity. The motto of the college is, "Honesty is education, education is peace and peace is progress". The institution follows the normal syllabus of National Curriculum and Text Book Board, Bangladesh. The medium of instruction is Bengali. The classes range from prep-1 to Class XII. The seat capacity is 45 upto class X but it is 50 in class XI and XII.

The college focuses on liberal education and gives emphasis on discipline and moral values.

Games and sports, PT and General Knowledge practices are also highlighted in the Daily schedule. The College has a managing Committee with project Director, SOS Children's Village, Bogra as the Chairman which is approved by Rajshahi Education Board, Bangladesh.

The first S.S.C batch appeared in the year 2000 and the First HSC batch appeared in the year 2004.
