Mymensingh Engineering College ,Engineering Faculty,University Of Dhaka 4.23

Mymensingh Engineering College established in the year 2009 under the faculty of Engineering & Technology , University Of Dhaka . It is the latest addition to Bangladesh's government engineering institutions which previously were only BUET, KUET, RUET and CUET.As an educational city of Bangladesh, Mymensingh had no engineering university . So the government of Bangladesh has established Mymensingh Engineering College (MEC) . Mymensingh Engineering College was inaugurated by honorable Minister Principal Motiur Rahman on 4th july of 2009 . Mymensingh Engineering College is a new & modern Engineering Institution in Bangladesh .

There are currently three departments offering B.Sc Engineering degree , that includes :
1) Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE)
2) Department of Civil Engineering (CE)
3) Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE)

Postgraduate studies & more Engineering departments are going to be introduced soon . It is expected that , Mymensingh Engineering College will be upgraded to a full-fledge public university soon and will be named Mymensingh University Of Engineering & Technology (MUET)
