Kabi Nazrul Govt. College Under University of Dhaka 5.21

Government Kabi Nazrul College was originally established at Dhaka by a grant from the Mohsin Fund in 1874 as Mohasania Madrasah in the model of Calcutta Alia Madrasah and came to be known as as Dhaka Madrasah. In 1915 it was convented into Dhaka High Madrasah. In the following year, it's Anglo-Persian department got separted and became the Dhaka Government Muslim High School with the establishment of the University of Dhaka in 1921. The school was upgraded into a College and got a new name, The Islamic Intermediate College. It continued to operate as a School-came-College in 1968. When the College section got separted to form a new Isntitution named Government Islamia College. After Independence of Bangladesh, the college was renamed as Government Kabi Nazrul College in 1972. In the following year, it was upgraded into Degree College. Now it becomes a good university college in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
