Government Jubilee High school is a public high school in Sunamganj District, Bangladesh. It was established in 1887 by Prassana – Kumar Dey, son of Prankishore, Zamindar of Kajalshah and the first person to graduate from Presidency College Calcutta from Sylhet. Prankishore donated land in the early 19th century for the Jugaltila Akhara which today houses the ISKON Temple. Prassanas house in Sonamgunj was where poor students were educated free of cost. Prassana was a well educated person and wrote a book of Poems named The Indian Bouquet which is till today held in the British Library in London. After his death in 1926 his elder son Lala Bijoy Kumar Dey left Sylhet and settled in India from where further generations of the family spread all over the world. The school was then nationalized in 1928. It is situated in the middle of Sunamganj township on the bank of the river where Prassana had his house which was absorbed by the Surma. Today it operates level 3 to level 10 (SSC). Over its history, the school has had notable alumni, including philosopher Haji Mohsin Malique Shahjahan and former foreign minister of Bangladesh Abdus Samad Azad.

This school is one of the oldest school in sylhet deivision and students from deifferent districts also come to study here. This institution consists 3 main buildings and a school library which is also a separate building. The primary building which was made by British government is still in original shape however time to time modifications take places. The other 2 buildings were made about 17 years ago. There are 3 playgrounds inside the school compound and the main school playground (also known as "Balur maat ") is just outside the school boundary wall. Annual sport takes place on that field.
