The Office of Professional Development (OPD) offers intensive career development training and placement services to BYLC graduates. OPD is a part of BYLC’s greater vision to empower its graduates by proactively investing in their growth and development far beyond their graduation from leadership training programs.
OPD has been created to address a significant disconnect between what students are learning in the classroom and what employers expect in the workplace. OPD's vision is to respond to the systemic challenges in talent development in Bangladesh with innovative and ground-breaking interventions. In this effort, OPD also seeks to develop thought partnerships with leading employers across Bangladesh on areas such as curriculum development and talent acquisition.
Some of the key areas where OPD will be involved are as follows:
· Conduct 60 intensive Career Development workshops involving 2000 BYLC graduates.
· Democratize cutting-edge professional development curriculum by leveraging online and offline channels to reach learners nationwide. OPD seeks to reach a minimum of 5000 registered learners online over the next three years.
· Build connections with prospective employers to make BYLC graduate network their preferred recruiting source. Place 1500 graduates to meaningful positions across public, private, and civil sectors.
