“Nanna Biriyani” has been one of the famous names among the food
lovers in this city because of the taste and really reasonable price.
Shahi morog polao, Kachchi Biriyani are the very renowned dishes of
“Nanna Biriyani” situated in Becharam Deuri, old Dhaka but ” আস্ত
মোরগের কাচ্চি” is a special item that can only be found there on the
5th of every month.
“আস্ত মোরগের কাচ্চি” is served in a big bowl which is sufficient
enough for two persons. You will find a “tied up” chicken in this with
lots of rice and potatoes. The spicy well cooked food is pretty
delicious and trust me you won’t regret having it as lunch. If you
want to have it in the restaurant you really need to be there early at
noon. Otherwise, you have to wait for a long time to have a seat
there. It is pretty obvious that having your lunch with friends in a
restaurant like this with a lot of people and rush in the old town is
something else, but taking the food away and having it in your dining
room is not a very bad idea at all because you don’t need to waste
your time waiting for a seat there.
The kachchi is awesome as I already told you, but the size of the
chicken is really disappointing. In my opinion, the chicken is not big
enough for even one person let alone two, especially when you compare
it with the “Mutton Kachchi Biriyani” of the same restaurant. In
“Mutton Kachchi Biriyani”(quantity half) you can have two pieces of
reasonably big size muttons and the whole dish costs only 100 taka.
So I believe the only drawback of the “আস্ত মোরগের কাচ্চি” is the size
of the chicken itself, otherwise it is worth having at least once.
