‘Aparajita’ is an adult Literacy Program. It mainly focuses on the housekeeping personnel of Asian University for Women (AUW). It’s main focus is on Bengali reading and writing and on basic English.

AUW is a multicultural University. It brings diversity in each and every aspect through its activities. It encourages and trains the students to go back to their communities and work for the development of their communities. Housekeeping personnel of AUW are also an important part of the AUW community. Basic education is important for people of all age regardless of their gender. To spread the knowledge of education among the housekeeping personnel of AUW and to make them to be able to read the basic necessary things, seven AUW students have started working on the ‘Aparajita Literacy Program’, which was initiated by Professor Christian Girard with the collaboration of our honorable Vice Chancellor Dr. Fahima Aziz.

It’s main focus is on Bengali reading and writing and on basic English.
Both of them have been a great support for this program from the very beginning.
