“Yabby Dabba Doo”, Yabby Farm is located at 123 Swan Bay Road, Karuah, NSW, just over 2 hrs from the Sydney CBD and 30 minutes from Newcastle Airport.

Located In a high rainfall climate with perfect soils and clean water no pollution sources and surrounded by large state forests this is the perfect area for growing Blue Claw Yabbies..

One of only two farms in Australia. we are the only yabby farm in NSW who retain and hold a permit to breed the CSIRO Super Yabby.

Operated as a hobby farm for 12 years prior to our Jan 2015, purchase, we have been refurbishing and upgrading our existing ponds using a new growing technique designed to improve animal husbandry and production returns.

Our purging and holding facility has been upgraded ensuring our product is healthy and in top condition for growing in your farm dam, aquarium or aquaponics system.

At this time our focus is on supplying dam stock and bait yabbies which you can either pick up direct from the farm gate, or we can ship to you up and down the East Coast

Yabbies are not able to be sent to Tasmania and we don't ship to Western Australia or overseas destinations.

We despatch on Tuesdays ensuring yabbies arrive at their destination before the weekend.

Our careful packaging process means yabbies are able to survive up to 60 hours in transit.

We believe the future of land based aquaculture in Australia rests with the children of today as such we offer farm tours to any interested school or education institution.

Conducted by Rob McCormack, former Yabby Farm Owner published author of "Keeping Pet Yabbies", "The Commercial Yabby Farmer", "A guide to Australia's Fresh water Spiny Crayfish" and among other interests, team leader of the Australian Crayfish Project, students will get an insight into yabby's and yabby farming, get to touch and feel, find out how to tell a male and a female apart along with tips on feeding and keeping yabbies.

We would also welcome other groups interested in touring a commercial yabby farm.

We are open 7 days a week, but do suggest you give us a call before visiting as some farm activities require our gates to be closed.
