“A time to celebrate and sing”

Wodonga’s Carols by Candlelight, to be held on Sunday, 17 December at Willow Park, Nordsvan Drive, Wodonga. The traditional free community event provides a great opportunity for the community to celebrate in song. For many this is a tradition where family and friends meet, relax in a parkland environment and sing along to old favourites. With 21 singers leading the program of 25 carols all supported by a combined 80 voice choir (Sing Australia and local primary schools) and the 40 piece Wodonga Brass a great presentation is assured. A strong emphasis is always on the development of local performers both on and off the stage. Seven performers will be leading Carols at Wodonga for the first time.

This years the event returns to Willow Park. It is a great place for a picnic with plenty of space. An APEX barbeque and other food providers will be available from 6.00pm onwards. Pre-Carols
entertainment will be provided. These performers will provide light entertainment whilst people relax, possibly with a picnic or barbeque, prior to the actual carols commencing at 7.30pm.

The program will be broadcast live from 7.30pm on 1494 2AY. It will be available over the internet.

The event is presented by Wodonga Brass, with significant support from the Wodonga City Council, Hume Bank, Jacob Toyota, Ramsey Health, Bing Lee, Wodonga Plaza, PGC Security, Barlens Hire and 1494 2AY. Admission is free with proceeds from candle sales and any donations going to Albury Wodonga Health’s Community Rehabilitation Centre.
