Details

West Brisbane Aquatic Club is a family oriented swimming club with a strong focus on development and training for competitive events. The club started in 2012 with 50 members and has now grown to 90+ members in the space of three seasons! I believe our growth has been largely due to an excellent swimming program and coaches that care. Coupled with this is a committee that is committed to building a fun yet competitive environment for our members.

We offer a range of programs suited to Juniors 6-12 years and Seniors all the way up to open. We actively compete and encourage all our members to get involved in inter club and external meets.

Our club has recently found a new home at the Dunlop Park Memorial Pool which provides a fantastic 50 meter facility for our squad members.

If you’re interested in joining our club we would like to offer a free session so you can get to see how we do things at WBAC!

VALUES

West Brisbane Aquatic Club encapsulates the following values in its service delivery: -

FAMILY
All members of a swimmer’s family will feel welcome; the children swim and the parents officiate, organise and socialise.

INCLUSIVE
West Brisbane Aquatic Club is a place which welcomes and values every swimmer regardless of talent or ability.

DISCIPLINE
West Brisbane Aquatic Club will teach as part of its doctrine the importance of discipline to success in swimming and life generally.

RESULTS
West Brisbane Aquatic Club will be a place that expects results equivalent to the efforts being put in by the members. This is a place to celebrate success and use failure to learn and grow.

CULTURE
West Brisbane Aquatic Club will pursue a tribal approach to swimming that encourages support for all swimmers from the club to achieve their personal best.
