Sam and Louise met in 1989 at college. In 1995 they lived together in a group house in central Canberra which was full of ‘hand me down stuff’. It was during this period that the pair started fossicking at local markets and developing a love for the pre-loved…starting their collection.

Great friends ever since, and after many cups of tea (code for gin and tonics), webb & kenna online retro home wares was born…our concept is to share our love of classic retro pieces with you through our Facebook store.

WEBB
Sam Webb has a Diploma of Applied Arts in Interior Design, with a working history designing kitchens and bathrooms in the ACT, NSW and VIC. A lover of all things retro, classic and eclectic.

Growing up in the 70’s/80's, Sam traveled extensively with her family and was exposed to many cultures which have ultimately influenced her tastes now. A couple of backpacking jaunts in the mid-90s ignited the travel bug which was put on hold to have 3 clever and cool kids!

The bug was recently re-ignited with a West Coast USA trip; inspiration for webb & kenna.

KENNA
Louise Kenna moonlights in HR yet dreams about being a full time ‘picker’ in Europe with a chain of retro shops in Marrakech, London and Vienna.

All places she has travelled to and hunted the varying markets, vintage and antique shops.

Favourite pieces sourced while travelling are a signed Martha Murphy print of the iconic Chrysler building in New York, a Gabal original print from Dhaka and a few gorgeous toast holders along the way.

Originally from Hobart, the retro epicentre of the world and having resided in QLD, Dubai and now landed back in the sunny capital as webb & kenna was calling.
